Color, Lighting & Exposure
Adjusting the exposure or lighting on some pictures can make all the difference.
This shot of a man and his new puppy was considerably improved by changing the brightness and exposure. Then it was enhanced by smoothing wrinkles in pants, skin and rug, as well as removing items on the chair, and flattening the heavy shadows in the boarded walls. Now the emphasis is on the man's and puppy's contented faces.
This is this simplest change: after adjusting the exposure, contrast and brightness, I made a few simple color corrections in the sky and the wooden house.
After changing the brightness and exposure of the entire photo, I removed a number of unwanted people, signs, lights, windows and pictures in the background to simplify unnecessary detail and put the photo’s emphasis back where it belongs - on the motorcycle.
