Free Style Dance, also know by other names as Barefoot Boogie or Dance Jam, is a mixture of spontaneous dance to either live music or DJ.  Most venues have a format which begins with slow warm-up, then fast, then wind-down.  Each venue and date we list we try to help identify the venue and dance style.  Our dance club listing is a group of some other conventional venues which dancers might also find interesting.   BlueskyOpenroad endeavors to keep the San Francisco and Bay Area Freestyle Dance Calendar up to date with current venues and contact information. We try to list events in San Francisco, Berkeley, Marin - Fairfax and Sebastopol, Palo Alto and San Jose Areas, Santa Cruz, and Monterey - Pacific Grove and Carmel.  We have broken the calendar into four categories to include Performances and Instruction.
